Sinopsis:
Setelah konfrontasinya di Nether dengan adik laki-lakinya Shou, tekad Shinra Kusakabe untuk menjadi pahlawan yang menyelamatkan nyawa dari teror api semakin kuat. Menemukan cara untuk mengubah para Infernal kembali menjadi manusia, mengungkap misteri Evangelist dan Adolla Burst, serta menyelamatkan ibunya dan Shou—inilah tujuan yang ada dalam pikiran Shinra. Namun, ia menyadari bahwa mencapai tujuan-tujuan ini tidak akan mudah, terutama dengan bahaya yang mengancam dari Evangelist.

Rencana Evangelist jelas: mengumpulkan delapan pilar—individu-individu yang memiliki Adolla Burst—dan mengorbankan mereka untuk menciptakan kembali Bencana Besar dari 250 tahun yang lalu. Setelah diberitahu oleh Pilar Pertama bahwa kelahiran pilar baru semakin dekat, Shinra bertekad untuk melindungi sesama pilar dari Evangelist.
